Minecraft Desert Village Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
Desert villages are built from sandstone and terracotta in the middle of the sand, and only about one seed in eight has one within 1,024 blocks of spawn. In every seed below, all villages within 1,024 blocks of spawn are desert villages, so the nearest village on the card is a desert one. The list is sorted by that distance and comes from a cubiomes scan of the listed Java version.

What a desert village gives you
The houses are sandstone, so the village stands out from far away and is easy to defend. Deserts hold desert pyramids with loot under a pressure-plate trap, so a desert village is a good base for a temple raid. There is little wood nearby, so bring saplings or plan a trip to the next forest.
How the village type is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. For every village within 1,024 blocks of spawn the scan works out its type from the biome at its centre, the same way the game picks the village style. A seed is listed only if all of them are desert villages.
Can a desert village be a zombie village?
Yes. About 2 % of desert villages generate abandoned, with zombie villagers instead of villagers. They still count as desert villages here; the zombie village list shows seeds whose only nearby village is abandoned.
Do desert village seeds work on Bedrock?
Not these. Village positions and types differ on Bedrock Edition, so these seeds are for Java. The Bedrock desert village list has seeds scanned for Bedrock, and the village finder checks your own world.
