Minecraft Stronghold Finder
Every Minecraft world has strongholds arranged in rings around the origin, and each one holds the end portal. This finder gives you two ways to reach yours: enter your world seed to see stronghold coordinates on a map, or — if you are already in-game — triangulate it from two eye of ender throws without needing the seed at all. Everything runs in your browser.

Two ways to find a stronghold
If you know your seed, the seed locator computes stronghold positions directly and shows them on the map — useful for planning a world before you play it. If you are already in a world and do not know the seed, use eye of ender triangulation instead: throw one eye, note where you stand and the direction it floats, move a few hundred blocks sideways, throw a second, and the two directions cross at the stronghold.
How eye of ender triangulation works
An eye of ender floats toward the nearest stronghold, so a single throw gives you a direction but not a distance. Two throws from different positions give two directions, and where those lines cross is the stronghold. For the best accuracy, make your second throw well to the side of the first — throwing again from almost the same spot gives two nearly parallel lines that cross far from the real location. Read the direction from the F3 screen's Facing angle for each throw.
Strongholds, rings and the end portal
Strongholds generate in rings around the world origin: the first ring holds three strongholds roughly 1,280 to 2,816 blocks out, with more rings further away, for 128 total in a modern world. Each stronghold contains exactly one end portal room. Because the rings are centred on the origin rather than your spawn, the nearest stronghold is not always in the direction you expect, which is why a finder saves a lot of blind digging.
