What loot does a jungle temple hide?
A jungle temple is a three-floor pyramid of cobblestone and mossy cobblestone, often half hidden by leaves and vines. The basement has two chests: one at the end of a tripwire corridor and one behind a lever puzzle. They can hold diamonds, emeralds, gold and iron ingots, bones, saddles, horse armor and enchanted books, and since 1.20 the wild armor trim smithing template. Jungles also spawn ocelots, parrots and pandas, so the trip is worth more than the chests.
Where do jungle temples spawn?
On Java, jungle temples generate in the jungle and bamboo jungle biomes, not in sparse jungle. The world is split into regions of 32 by 32 chunks, and each region gets one possible temple spot in its first 24 by 24 chunks. The spot becomes a temple only when the biome there is a jungle and the ground under the 12 by 15 block footprint is dry. Jungles are among the rarer biomes, so many seeds have no temple within a thousand blocks of spawn, and the map opens wide to show the nearest one.
How do I solve the jungle temple puzzle?
Three levers on the basement wall drive a set of pistons that open a hidden room behind the staircase. Flip them until the wall slides open: there are only a few combinations to try, and a wrong one does no harm. The second chest sits at the end of a corridor guarded by two tripwires, each wired to a dispenser full of arrows. Break the tripwire string with shears, or mine the dispensers first, and the corridor is safe. Keep the arrows.
Does the jungle temple finder work for Bedrock?
This finder is made for Java Edition. Jungle temples generate in both editions, but Bedrock uses its own placement and only accepts the plain jungle biome, so the same seed puts its temples in other places. Our Java temples match the game seed for seed. The Bedrock map here is not verified for this finder yet, so on Bedrock use the coordinates as a hint and confirm in game.
