Minecraft Zombie Village Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
About one village in fifty generates abandoned: a zombie village, with zombie villagers instead of villagers, cobwebs and no lights. In every seed below, the only village within 1,024 blocks of spawn is a zombie village, so the village on the card is the abandoned one. The list is sorted by its distance from spawn and comes from a cubiomes scan of the listed Java version.

Why find a zombie village
Zombie villagers can be cured: hit one with a splash potion of weakness, then feed it a golden apple. A cured villager gives you lasting trade discounts, so a zombie village is a cheap start for a trading hall. Zombie villagers burn in daylight, so trap or cure them before morning.
How the village type is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. For every village within 1,024 blocks of spawn the scan works out whether it generates abandoned, the same roll the game makes. A seed is listed only if it has exactly one village in that range and that village is abandoned.
What type of village is a zombie village?
Any of them. Plains, desert, savanna, taiga and snowy villages can all generate abandoned, at roughly the same rate of about 2 %. The building style follows the biome, as in a normal village.
Do zombie village seeds work on Bedrock?
Not these. Village positions and abandoned villages differ on Bedrock Edition, so these seeds are for Java. The Bedrock zombie village list has seeds scanned for Bedrock, and the village finder checks your own world.
