Minecraft Desert Temple Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
A desert temple (desert pyramid) hides four loot chests above a TNT trap, and since 1.20 suspicious sand to brush for pottery sherds. The seeds below each have a desert temple within 300 blocks of spawn, closest first, measured by scanning the world with cubiomes. Open a seed to see the temple on its map.

Distances in blocks from spawn

What is in a desert temple?
Dig down through the blue terracotta in the middle of the floor to reach the chests: iron, gold, emeralds, diamonds, enchanted books and the Dune armor trim template. Don't step on the pressure plate at the bottom, it sets off the TNT under the chests.
How the distance is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. The distance is straight-line from the world spawn to the temple. Desert temples only generate in deserts, so a temple close by also means a desert near spawn.
