Minecraft Ruined Portal Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
A ruined portal is a broken Nether portal frame with a loot chest beside it. Finish the frame and you are in the Nether minutes after you spawn, with no diamond pickaxe needed for obsidian. The seeds below each have a ruined portal within 100 blocks of spawn, closest first, measured by scanning the world with cubiomes. Open a seed to see the portal on its map.

Why a portal at spawn matters
Getting into the Nether early means blaze rods, ender pearls from bartering and a fortress before the first night is over. That is why speedrunners look for a ruined portal next to a village. A portal frame you only need to finish saves the trip to a lava pool and the iron for a bucket.
How the distance is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. The distance is straight-line from the world spawn to the portal's position. Some ruined portals are half buried or under water, so check the map and dig a little if you don't see the frame.
