Minecraft Ocean Ruins Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
Ocean ruins are broken stone or sandstone buildings on the sea floor, often in groups. The seeds below each have ocean ruins within 100 blocks of spawn, closest first, measured by scanning the world with cubiomes. Open a seed to see the ruins on its map.

What is in ocean ruins?
Their chests hold coal, wheat, gold nuggets or an emerald, and many a buried treasure map. Suspicious sand and gravel hide pottery sherds you dig out with a brush, and warm ruins can give a sniffer egg. Drowned often spawn around them, so bring a sword.
Warm and cold ruins
Ruins in warm and lukewarm oceans are built of sandstone, those in all other oceans of stone bricks with mossy and cracked blocks. Most ruins lie under water, so a respiration helmet or a few potions of water breathing help.
How the distance is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. The distance is straight-line from the world spawn to the nearest ruin.
