Ocean monuments are the deep-ocean temples guarded by guardians and three elder guardians. They are the only source of sponges and the only place to build a guardian farm for endless prismarine and XP. The seeds below each put a monument near spawn, ranked by distance, every one verified by an automated scan of over 1.7 million worlds. Because monuments only spawn in deep-ocean biomes, a nearby one also tells you there is a large ocean to explore right beside your starting point.

What you get from an ocean monument
Beyond the eight gold blocks hidden in the central room, monuments are the game's only sponge source and the standard site for a guardian farm — one of the best AFK XP and prismarine farms available. The three elder guardians inflict Mining Fatigue, so bring milk and a plan before you break in.
Reading the coordinates
Monument positions are computed with cubiomes for the listed edition and version, so they match your world exactly. Distances are straight-line from spawn. A monument sits at ocean-floor level, so once you reach the surface coordinates, dive straight down — the dark prismarine silhouette is visible from a few chunks away in clear water.
