Minecraft Deep Dark Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
The deep dark is the cave biome with sculk, the warden and ancient cities, deep below Y 0. In each seed below, the deep dark lies directly under the world spawn, so a staircase down from spawn reaches it. Seeds with the most deep dark within 512 blocks come first, measured by generating the caves with cubiomes.

What is in the deep dark?
Mining sculk gives experience, sculk catalysts and sensors make XP and redstone builds, and ancient cities only generate here. Watch the sculk shriekers: four calls summon the warden. Wool dampens your steps.
How the deep dark is measured
Each seed was generated with cubiomes, the world-generation library that mirrors the game, for the listed Java version. We check the biome at Y 10, -10, -30 and -50 straight below spawn, then the share of deep dark at four depths from Y 0 to -56 within 512 blocks to rank the list. The spawn point differs on Bedrock, so use these seeds in Java.
