Minecraft Bedrock Dark Forest Ancient City Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
Bedrock Edition seeds for phones, consoles and Windows. Structure positions differ from Java, so these are different seeds. Ancient cities lie deep below the surface in the deep dark, and these seeds put one within reach of a dark forest. You get dark oak wood and mushrooms above and one of the best loot structures below. Every seed below was scanned and has a dark forest and an ancient city near spawn. Of the Bedrock 26.3 seeds we scanned, 28,020 have the biome within 512 blocks of spawn and the structure within 1,000 blocks; for half of them the structure is 607 blocks away or closer. Versions with at least 12 such seeds in our scan: 1.19, 1.20, 1.21, 26.2 and 26.3.

Dark oak above and deep dark loot below
Ancient city chests can hold enchanted golden apples, swift sneak books, echo shards for recovery compasses, the disc fragment for music disc 5 and diamond gear. The dark forest gives dark oak logs and huge mushrooms for a surface base. The warden can be summoned in the city, so sneak and avoid sculk shriekers.
Is the ancient city under the dark forest?
Not always. Ancient cities generate deep underground in the deep dark, which is most common below mountains. On these seeds the city is within 1,000 blocks of spawn, but the biome above it may differ from the forest. Open the seed map to see both positions.
Which version do I need for ancient cities?
Ancient cities were added in 1.19. Create the world on the version listed with the seed. Before 1.19 the same seed has no ancient cities.
