Trial chambers and the Mace
Drink an ominous bottle before you start a trial and the spawners turn ominous: harder waves, but ominous vaults that can drop a heavy core. Combine the heavy core with a breeze rod and you get the Mace, whose damage scales with fall distance. A trial chamber near spawn means you can reach that power spike in your first few play sessions.
They generate underground
Trial chambers sit well below the surface, usually around Y=-40 in the deepslate layers, so you will not see one from above. The coordinate marks the chamber origin — dig down near it or tunnel in from a cave to reach the copper-framed rooms. Positions differ between Java and Bedrock, so use the seeds matching your edition.
