Why Java speedrun seeds miss on Bedrock
Since 1.18 a seed gives both editions the same terrain and biomes, but structures are placed differently. A village and portal at spawn in Java can be hundreds of blocks away on Bedrock. These seeds come from the Bedrock scan, so both are where the list says they are.
Reading the distance
Distances are straight-line from the world spawn point to the portal and to the village. Some ruined portals are half buried or under water, so check the map and dig a little if you don't see the frame.
