Minecraft Mushroom Island Village Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
Mushroom islands are rare, and hostile mobs do not spawn on them naturally, which makes them one of the safest places to live. They never have a village, so these seeds pair one with a village on the nearby mainland. Every seed below was scanned and has a mushroom island and a village near spawn. Of the Java 26.3 seeds we scanned, 8,801 have the biome within 512 blocks of spawn and the structure within 1,000 blocks; for half of them the structure is 509 blocks away or closer. Versions with at least 12 such seeds in our scan: 1.18, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21, 26.2 and 26.3.

A safe island base with trades nearby
On a mushroom island, mooshrooms give mushroom stew and milk, and huge mushrooms give food blocks. With no hostile spawns at night, it is a good place for a base or for breeding villagers. The village on the mainland supplies beds, crops, villagers and trades to bring over by boat.
Do villages spawn on mushroom islands?
No. Villages never generate in mushroom fields. They spawn in plains, meadows, deserts, savannas, taigas and snowy plains, so on these seeds the village is on land near the island. You can move villagers to the island by boat to trade in safety.
How do I find the island from spawn?
Open the seed and look for the mushroom fields on the map. Mushroom islands sit in the ocean, so you will usually need a boat. Note the coordinates before you set off, since the island may be out of sight from spawn.
