Minecraft Bedrock Badlands Village Seeds
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated August 2026
Bedrock Edition seeds for phones, consoles and Windows. Structure positions differ from Java, so these are different seeds. Badlands, still called mesa by many players, have striped terracotta and gold ore high in the hills, but no villages. These seeds pair a badlands biome with a village nearby, so you get trades and a colourful building stone early on. Every seed below was scanned and has badlands and a village near spawn. Of the Bedrock 26.3 seeds we scanned, 23,081 have the biome within 512 blocks of spawn and the structure within 1,000 blocks; for half of them the structure is 411 blocks away or closer. Versions with at least 12 such seeds in our scan: 1.18, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21, 26.2 and 26.3.

Trades and terracotta in one start
The village gives beds, food and villagers, and mason villagers trade for terracotta and glazed terracotta. The badlands give coloured terracotta without dyeing, red sand and gold ore near the surface. Mineshafts in badlands can be exposed at the surface, which makes iron and rails easy to reach.
Do villages spawn in the badlands?
No. Villages never generate in any badlands biome. They spawn in plains, meadows, deserts, savannas, taigas and snowy plains. On these seeds the village is in one of those biomes near the badlands, often a desert or savanna.
Is mesa the same as badlands?
Yes. The biome was called mesa until it was renamed badlands in 1.13. Eroded badlands and wooded badlands are variants of the same biome.
