Best Minecraft 26.2 Seeds for Java & Bedrock
By the ChunkScan Team · Updated October 2026
Minecraft 26.2, Chaos Cubed, adds the sulfur caves, a new cave biome. Unlike 26.1 it changes world generation: a seed keeps its villages and almost all of its surface, but some of its underground and some of its strongholds differ from 26.1. The seeds below are Java worlds with a village within 200 blocks of spawn and sulfur caves nearby, closest village first.

What changed for seeds in 26.2
We compared Mojang's world generation data from the 26.1 and 26.2 server jars: the structure sets are identical, and the biome parameter list has one new entry, the sulfur caves. The new biome takes over underground spots that were lush caves, dripstone caves or the underground part of oceans, beaches and swamps, about 3% of the underground at y = 0 and almost none of the surface. Java strongholds pick their spot from the biomes at y = 0, so about 3% of them move, by up to about 250 blocks. We checked moved strongholds and sulfur cave spots against a vanilla 26.2 server, and ChunkScan scans 26.2 seeds on their own, so this list and every 26.2 map show 26.2 positions.
Are the seeds the same in Java and Bedrock 26.2?
No. Java and Bedrock share the biome layout for a seed, but structures are placed with different rules, so a village at spawn in Java can be hundreds of blocks away in Bedrock. ChunkScan scans both editions separately for 26.2: the list above is Java, and the Bedrock link above opens the Bedrock seed search.
Do 26.2 seeds work in other versions?
Not reliably. World generation changed in 26.2, so biomes and structures can move compared with older versions. Pick 26.2 in the version selector to search seeds for it.
